Pilgrimage

The Pilgrimage is an interactive, digital graphic novel game featuring striking visuals and a spellbinding theme of "light and shadow". The narrative follows the 28-year-old dying protagonist on his memories of his past love while illustrating the misunderstandings and misses he faced in his relationship in regard to both himself and the person he loved. Over the course of six chapters, players can take the story at their own pace, and puzzles are used to reinforce pieces of their life as players progress through their stories. The combination of a game and a comic, and the control given to the reader over the pace at which they experience the story makes Pilgrimage more impactful than it could be in a more conventional novel format.
